You are invited to AEE’s Sunshine Chapter luncheon Wednesday September 18th presentation by James Miller, Manager, Facilities, Energy & Sustainability with Seminole State College!

James Miller will be presenting Seminole State College’s sustainability and energy reduction goals and plans. We will also be taking a tour of the recently expanded Ice Thermal Energy Storage system at the Sanford/Lake Mary campus. Seminole State is on a mission to become a model for the community, the Florida College System, and the nation for sustainability practices and environmental stewardship.

As the Manager for Energy & Sustainability at Seminole State College of Florida, James Miller collaborates with faculty and students on the development of campus sustainability initiatives and efficiency improvements.

James is a higher education professional with a broad range of experience in student affairs, curriculum development, operations and planning, and he has held leadership positions with the Association of Florida Colleges (AFC)—most recently serving as their Region Director for Central Florida in 2018. He’s particularly passionate about issues related to sustainability, the arts, and shared governance.
