Please join us for a FREE online presentation with Charlie Waddell from Global Plasma Solutions, Inc., the premier manufacturer of Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization products for the indoor air purification market. The image below is a link to their website.
When we heard about successful air purification system installed by GPS at Valencia College’s Lake Nona campus, we were immediately intrigued and excited to share this technology, especially when indoor air quality has never been a hotter topic. This presentation is the first content-based presentation of AEESC's summer webinar series (May-September) where we will be sharing relevant technologies, current events, and solutions that will help us all transition back to our work in the built environment.
Presentation topic: How to Reduce Maintenance, Particles, Odors, Pathogens and Energy Using Needlepoint Cold Plasma Technology
Presenter: Charles Waddell
Location: Zoom Meetings- You will be emailed instructions on how to join after registration is complete.
The presentation covers a brief review of ASHRAE 62.1. Charlie will also discuss the method of how cold plasma reduces particles and kills bacteria, viruses, and mold. His presentation will also include how the combination of needlepoint cold plasma technology with indoor air quality procedures allow the reduction of outside air up to 75%, due to the technology’s ability to control gases produced by the building and its occupants.
This discussion focuses on the concept of cleaning the indoor air to a higher degree using air purification to reduce the need for outside air for dilution of indoor generated contaminants. A case study will be covered to prove first cost reduction, operational savings and acceptable IAQ achievement through the application of needlepoint cold plasma technology.
Learning Objectives: 1 CEU
1. Become familiar with needlepoint cold plasma technology;
2. Understand how the technology reduces first costs and annual energy consumption;
3. Understand how the technology reduces maintenance and improves IAQ;
4. Understand how this technology and methodology complies with ASHRAE 62 and the International Mechanical Code.
AEE Chapter Purpose: To provide a great venue to network with other professionals, gain new knowledge and skills, and share ideas and innovative approaches in the business of energy and sustainability.
We are always seeking input for future presentation topics, plant tours, and have officer opportunities. If you would like to become an active AEESC member and contributor, please arrive early to join in and discuss the direction of the chapter and topics of interest. All are welcome.
